summer blazin..

When it comes to the hot weather, the last thing on a person's mind is covering up, let alone with a long sleeved blazer.  I'm quite set on sticking with the usual go-to's; which include, shorts, maxi dresses, tanks, all things to keep me the least bit hot.  Though I have taken a huge liking to pairing a blazer with a summer outfit, lighter weight fabric, of course.  I find myself still purchasing long sleeved clothing in the summer, which is not normally like me.  But these are great throw on pieces that are easily carried from day to night and paired with just about anything.  With the variety of shades and fabrics, this is a great way to polish up your look or simply add a bit of fun.  It's odd but for some reason this trend has been universally accepted to combine items from different seasons.  The most critical component to pulling off this look is staying cool so balance out your outfit with a shorter hem.  This blazer by 3.1 Phillip Lim is a great added pop of color, whether paired with a dress or denim shorts.

9 to 5 stylin'

Who says you can't be trendy on the job? Majority are accustomed to the usual pair of slacks and button down for their every day attire, but that gets boring after a while and isn't very thrilling to wear every single day.  There are several items you can incorporate into your wardrobe that can be worn both at and outside of work.  As long as it's not too tight, too revealing or too short, you are fine.  Expectations on style on your day-to-day are limiting, think outside the box a little.  Here are a couple of ideas to summerize your 9 to 5 wardrobe, yet, still appear polished and professional.
